Case studies · updated 29 Oct 2026

Real businesses. Real reports. Before and after.

No logo wall and no made-up results. This is the work I’m doing right now for eight businesses, seven in India and one in Calgary, Canada: the reports I wrote for them, screenshots of what changed, and an honest status on each one. Where the work isn’t finished yet, I say so.

  • 8businesses, October 2026
  • 116pages of audit and work reports
  • 54website pages built and live
  • 0made-up numbers. Every figure has a date and a source
How every project runs

Research first. Then the work. Then proof.

Each business on this page is at a different step. Case studies are clients where the work is done and the before and after is on record. Audits are the research I hand over before the work starts. When a client goes ahead, their audit moves up to a case study.

  1. 1

    Free first look

Send me your website or Google listing. I tell you what I would fix first. No charge.

  2. 2

    The audit report

15 to 19 pages: live Google screenshots, your competitors, search demand and speed tests. Every number has a date and a source.

  3. 3

    A fixed quote

One price for a defined piece of work. No open-ended retainer.

  4. 4

    The work

Google profile, website, SEO and tracking. I do it myself, not a team of juniors.

  5. 5

    Before & after report

Screenshots of what changed, then the same searches checked again at day 30, 60 and 90.

Case studies

Confirmed clients. The full story: what was wrong, what I did, the before and after, and what the numbers say so far.

SZ Cars Accessories

Dasarahalli, Bengaluru · Car accessories, PPF, coating and detailing shop

Phase 1 done · 28 Oct 2026

Google had the wrong pin, the wrong name and one category. Rebuilt in one day.

The challenge

The shop does PPF, ceramic coating, detailing, car audio, lights and seat covers. Google knew it only as a “car stereo store”, with the pin in the wrong place and a duplicate profile in the owner’s account. No services listed, no website.

What I did

Removed the duplicate, rebuilt the Google profile from the name down, and built a 7-page website linked from the profile. Then wrote it all up in a 2-page work report.

Where it stands

Every change is saved. Customers see it once Google verifies the profile. The starting rankings are on record so the same searches can be checked again.

  • 21Google profile in the account, all 12 reviews kept
  • 17business categories, main one Auto Accessories Store
  • 021services listed, each with its own description
  • 07website pages, with call, WhatsApp and directions on every screen

1What I found

  • The map pin was off the shop, and the address was a short “Dasarahalli Main Rd, near Naveen plywood”. The shop is in D.B Suresh Complex.
  • The name on Google was “SZ Car Accessories”. The shop board says “SZ Cars Accessories”.
  • One category, “Car stereo store”, for a shop that does far more than audio.
  • The cover photo was an old board showing an old Kalyan Nagar address.
  • Two profiles in the owner’s account. The live one was marked “Duplicate” and 0% verified.
  • No services and no website. Google showed “Add website”.

The shop showed for audio because “car stereo store” was its only category. For everything else it does, it was invisible.

2What I did, on 28 October

  1. First

Checked the visiting card, the shop board and the Google listing side by side. Logged every mismatch and took the “before” screenshots.

  2. Then

Got owner access. Removed the empty duplicate, keeping the profile with the reviews. Rebuilt the profile: name, 7 categories, description, full address, pin moved onto the shop, payment options, 11 nearby service areas and 21 services.

  3. By evening

Set the opening hours, wrote a description for every service, then built and launched a 7-page website and linked it on the profile. Wrote it up in a 2-page work report for the owner.

4Results so far, honestly

The changes are saved but not yet public. Google shows profile edits to customers only after it verifies the profile. The shop’s video check was rejected and Google allows no more attempts, so verification is going through Google support with the shop’s documents.

No call or ranking numbers yet, on purpose. Calls, direction requests and website clicks only show after verification. I’ll check the nine Maps searches above again at day 30, 60 and 90, the same way, and add the results here.

What’s next for SZ Cars

  • Verification through Google support
  • Daylight photos of the shop and a new cover photo
  • Update the shop board, which still shows the old address
  • Search Console, analytics and a proper domain for the website
  • Day 30, 60 and 90 ranking checks

How I report

Every page has to prove what it says.

This is page 4 of the Ezy India audit. Every page in my reports is built the same way. Here’s what goes into one.

Audits & proposals

Waffee House, Kankanady

Mangaluru · Dessert cafe, the Kankanady outlet of the Waffee House chain

Audit done · website built · launch pending

1,846 Google reviews. No website. So I built one: 39 pages.

Waffee House comes first on Google Maps for “waffles in mangalore”. But for “dessert cafe in mangalore”, “best cafe in mangalore” and even “cafe in kankanady”, it didn’t show at all. With no website, Google and AI assistants were describing the cafe from Zomato and Justdial.

  • 1,846Google reviews at 4.3 stars, more than any dessert cafe shown beside it
  • 0websites. Three of the four competitors shown alongside have one
  • 3 of 6local searches checked where the cafe was missing from the map
  • 3different phone numbers on Google, Zomato and Instagram
The website
Placeholder page: Future home of something quite cool

The link in Waffee House’s Instagram bio led to this placeholder page (26 Oct 2026).

New Waffee House Mangalore website home page

A 39-page site: the full menu, a page for every product, and call, WhatsApp and order buttons everywhere.

What’s in the new site

  • The full menu: 160 items with prices
  • 10 product pages: waffles, bubble waffles, pancakes, crepes, kunafa, waffle cakes, sundaes, milkshakes, cold coffee and mojitos, each aimed at “… in Mangalore”
  • 6 blog posts and 11 recipes
  • Cafe, menu, FAQ and recipe data that Google and AI assistants can read
  • Call, WhatsApp, directions and order buttons on every page, each one tracked

Then I audited my own build

On launch day I ran a full SEO audit on my own work and gave the owner the results, including the problems.

  • 100Lighthouse SEO score, home page on mobile
  • 0broken links or data errors across 40 pages
  • 13fixes still found and ranked, starting with an old phone number on one page
  • 0 of 37pages in Google yet. That waits for the final domain
Where it stands: the site is live on a preview address. Before it moves to a real domain, the owner and the brand need to agree on the domain and approve the name and logo. Claiming the Google profile comes next.

Ezy India

Mangaluru · Doorstep car and bike wash, booked through the Ezy Services app

Audit delivered · 27 Oct 2026

Five stars from 32 reviews. Found in 0 of 6 searches.

Ezy already does the hard part well: uniformed crews, real before-and-after results and a 5.0 rating. But when a Mangalore car owner searches, Ezy’s website and Google profile don’t show up, and every “Book” button sends people to an app store before they see a single price.

  • 0 of 6customer searches on Google and Maps where Ezy appears
  • 18.2 sfor the home page’s main image to load on a phone. Google’s “good” line is 2.5 s
  • 0prices shown anywhere on the website
  • 5.0★from 32 Google reviews. The reputation is already there

  5. Review & repeatWeakCopy-paste replies and nothing tracked

Step 4 is the hard part, and Ezy already does it well. The rest is marketing, and all of it is fixable.

Where it stands: the 19-page audit is with the founder. The plan covers six areas: the Google profile and Maps, website SEO and AI search, speed and booking, social media, reviews and listings, and tracking. The before and after goes here when the work is done.

Stellar Living

Mangaluru · Architecture and interior design studio

Audit delivered · 26 Oct 2026

Good work, hard to find.

Stellar’s projects and founder story are strong. But when someone in Mangalore searches Google for an interior designer, three other studios show first, each with more than 130 reviews. Stellar had 10.

  • 10Google reviews. The three studios shown first have 136 to 197
  • 4.3 sfor the home page to show its main content on a phone
  • 0service pages for “architects” or “interior designers in Mangalore”

The Nest Nature Retreat

Koipady, Kumbla, Kasaragod · A private nature stay in a family home

Audit done · website built · 29 Oct 2026

Every review is five stars. Google says it closes at 11.

The Nest gives guests the private first floor of a family home near Kumbla, with food from the family’s garden and mangrove boat rides close by. Guests love it: all 24 Google reviews are five stars, and the host has replied to every one personally. But travellers searching for a homestay in Kasaragod never see it. Google lists it as a villa with shop hours, and its website isn’t in Google at all.

  • 24 of 24Google reviews at five stars, each with a personal reply from the host
  • 0 of 12traveller searches on Google and Maps where The Nest is in the top ten
  • #24on Google Maps for “homestay” around Kumbla, below four listings with no reviews at all
  • 33.0 sfor the home page to show its main content on a phone. Google’s “good” line is 2.5 s

The Google profile today

The Nest

5.0 (24) · Villa in Koipady

Open · Closes 11 am · Reopens 2 pm

  • 11 am is check-out
  • 2 pm is check-in

Check-out and check-in were entered as opening hours, so Google tells travellers the stay closes at 11 every morning. The profile’s About section lists four things, and none of them is about the rooms: no Wi-Fi, no AC, no check-in time.

A retreat nearby with a lower rating (4.5 from 126 reviews) is set up as a place to stay, with check-in times and prices. Google’s AI names it first for “nature stay kasaragod”.

The website
The Nest’s old one-page Google Site: a sunset photo headed A Nature Retreat Close to the Sea

A one-page Google Site that isn’t in Google’s index. The first “Book Your Stay” button opens Instagram, and there’s no phone number or price anywhere (29 Oct 2026).

The new The Nest website: A private nature homestay near Kumbla, Kasaragod, with WhatsApp and call buttons

Eight pages, each aimed at a search travellers make, with WhatsApp and call buttons on every one.

What’s in the new site

  • 8 pages, each aimed at a real search: homestay near Kumbla, nature stay in Kasaragod, stay near Ananthapura Lake Temple, workation in Kerala, things to do nearby and how to get there
  • WhatsApp and call buttons on every page, plus an enquiry form that writes the WhatsApp message for the guest
  • The 5.0 Google rating and Airbnb’s “Guest favourite” badge up front. Rooms, amenities and house rules taken from the Airbnb listing
  • Driving distances to nearby places checked in Google Maps
  • Stay details Google and AI assistants can read (check-in and check-out, rooms, amenities, location) and an FAQ on every page
  • Every WhatsApp, call, directions and enquiry click tracked, ready for Analytics
  • The owner’s own photos, with no guest or family faces

Why the timing matters

Google Trends, weekly interest in “homestay” across Kerala over five years. 100 is the busiest week.

  • 100Christmas week 2025, the busiest week in five years. Christmas week was the top week in every full year
  • 41a typical week
  • 1.9×growth in the yearly average from 2021–22 to 2025–26
  • 20 Decthe start of Christmas week 2026. The plan puts the Google profile first so it’s ready by then
Where it stands: the 20-page report and the 8-page website are done. The site is on a preview address and hidden from Google until the owner approves it and picks a domain name. Setting up the Google profile as a place to stay comes first.

Trevio Global

Hebbal, Bengaluru · A travel platform for agents, and holidays for travellers

Audit done · 29 Oct 2026

Built for travel agents. Reviewed by travellers.

Trevio is a new Bengaluru company, incorporated in July 2026. It runs a partner portal for travel agents and also sells holidays to travellers directly. All seven of its Google reviews are five stars, from trips to Thailand, Singapore and Goa. But neither agents nor travellers can find it: it shows up in 1 of 11 searches, there’s no phone number on Google or the website, and the page the website’s server sends has no words on it.

Hashtag Assistant Inc.

Calgary, Canada · Social media management and website design studio

Audit done · 29 Oct 2026

Five-star work. Google put it in Nunavut.

Hashtag Assistant is a boutique studio in Calgary, run by Amber Hewitt: social media management and Shopify and Wix websites for female entrepreneurs and beauty pros. The portfolio lists 26 brand campaigns for Lindsay Lohan, and the Google rating is 5.0 from 15 reviews. But when a Calgary business owner searches for the service, it never shows: 0 of 10 searches. Google Maps stores the profile 1,684 km away, near the geographic centre of Canada, and the only two buttons on the home page open empty shop pages.

  • 0 of 10Calgary searches on Google and Maps where Hashtag Assistant appears: 5 web, 5 Maps, checked to 100 results
  • 1,684 kmfrom Calgary: where Google Maps stores the profile, in Nunavut, west of Hudson Bay
  • 0 of 2home-page service buttons that open a real service page. Both open “No products found”
  • 5.0★from 15 Google reviews, every visible one answered by the owner personally
Google Maps, “Hashtag Assistant Inc.”, 29 Oct 2026

Opened without a location, Maps centres on where Google thinks the business is: 62.66° N, 95.99° W, 38 km from the geographic centre of Canada. The likely cause is the service-area setting, which Google draws as an outline around most of the country.
