What Google Gemini does
Gemini’s real advantage is not the model, it is the plumbing. It sits inside Docs, Sheets, Slides and Gmail, so it can act on files you already have without any copy-pasting. For a small team already paying for Workspace, that integration usually beats a marginally better model that lives in a separate tab.
How marketers actually use it
The Workspace integration is the whole point. Sitting in a Google Doc, you can ask it to turn rough notes into a client brief; in Sheets, to explain what a column of GA4 data is actually showing; in Gmail, to summarise a thread that ran to thirty replies before you were added to it.

Watch out for

Yes, there is a capable free tier. Google AI Pro is around $20/mo and bundles higher limits with storage and other Google AI features.
Is Gemini better than ChatGPT?
On raw model quality it is broadly competitive but swings more between tasks. Its real advantage is being inside Docs, Sheets and Gmail, which usually matters more day to day than a small quality gap.
Does Gemini work with Google Analytics?
It can help interpret GA4 data pasted into Sheets, and Google continues to add AI features inside GA4 itself. It is not a replacement for setting your conversions up properly.
Is Gemini included with Google Workspace?
Some AI features are bundled into Workspace tiers and others need the paid add-on, and Google changes this packaging often. Check your current plan before assuming your team has it.
Can Gemini analyse GA4 data?
It can interpret GA4 data exported into Sheets and explain what it shows in plain language. It will not fix an unconfigured GA4 property — that work still has to be done properly first.
